The 10-month Intensive Fellowship in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Early Relational Health

The 10-month Intensive Fellowship in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Early Relational Health is a 120-hour cohort model continuing education program in infant and early childhood mental health and early relational health that offers multidisciplinary professionals the opportunity to examine the optimal physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of infants, toddlers and young children within the relational context of the family.

For more information about the Intensive Fellowship, please email our Director, Kaitlin Mulcahy at mulcahyk@montclair.edu with subject line “Fellowship”

Applications are accepted annually from June through September. The Fellowship runs annually from October through September.

The Advanced Fellowship in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Early Relational Health

After successful completion of the Intensive Fellowship, fellows are invited to continue to a second year of learning in the Advanced Fellowship.

The Advanced Fellowship (Year 2) is a 60-hour program designed for multidisciplinary professionals to learn advanced topics in infancy and early childhood development, emotional and relational health, assessment and intervention strategies, and systems working to support infants, children, and families in the first years of life.

The Applied Fellowship in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Early Relational Health

Following the Advanced Fellowship, fellows are invited to complete the third year of learning through the Applied Fellowship (Year 3), which is a 30-hour program meant to apply the lessons learned in the previous two Fellowships into leadership and organizational practice.

The All Fellows Program

Once accepted into the first year, Intensive Fellowship, all fellows are invited to virtual quarterly meetings in October, January, April and May to refresh their understanding and keep updated with the fields of infant and early childhood mental health and early relational health and connect with one another.

The May meeting occurs in person at Montclair State University.
