José Javier Nieves, MA, MSW, LCSW, IHMS-E® joined the Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health (CAECMH) as part clinician in 2019, and in 2021 he became a full time Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Clinician.
Most of Javier’s experience has been in direct work with underserved communities and children, as clinician and consultant. Since 2021 he has been endorsed as Infant Mental Health Specialist, and is a Board Member of the NJ Association for Infant and Mental Health. He works closely with HS and EHS programs as a consultant to families, teachers and administration.
Mr. Nieves holds Masters degrees in Arts, and a Masters in Social Work (Clinical Track) from Rutgers University. His practice focus is Family Therapy with an emphasis in Early Childhood Mental and Relational Health.
